Cats have always known they were royalty. Funky Gold Cat simply makes it official — gold tones, bold graphic lines and the swagger of a street art icon wrapped in a little luxury. Part feline, part statement, entirely unbothered.
The gold catches your eye first; the composition is what holds it. Lazarus plays with two visual worlds that rarely meet: the loose confidence of urban walls and the polish of high-end design. The result is playful but self-assured, and it works as well in a minimalist apartment as on a crowded gallery wall.
Cats appear more than once in Lazarus’s work, and this print has a three-dimensional cousin in the Cubist Metallic Cat sculpture. It also pairs naturally with Funky James if your walls lean towards groove and attitude. As a gift, it’s an easy win for anyone who lives with — or is ruled by — a cat.
Gold looks good. The cat knew first.
