He showed up dressed for the occasion and nobody told him to leave. Gangster Monkey brings primate energy and street swagger into one explosive pop art portrait that is simultaneously funny, sharp and completely stylish.
The attitude is the whole composition. The visual language is urban and confident, the palette is punchy, and the subject commits fully to the role. This is the kind of art that makes people laugh out loud when they first see it and then quietly decide they need it on their wall.
Dressed for the life he chose. No regrets.
