It doesn’t need to explain itself.
Not everything needs a story.
Some things just need to be painted. A black heart, hand-rendered, brushstroke visible, edges not quite straight — because straight edges are not how hearts work. Set against cream. Taking up almost all of the space. Leaving just enough border to remind you something is holding it.
You can read this however you need to. As love. As grief. As something you’re carrying that doesn’t have a name yet. As nothing at all — just a shape you happen to like. The umbrella doesn’t care. It opens the same way regardless.
