They All Move Together

Nobody leads. Everyone arrives.

No one fish decides where the school goes.

They read each other — pressure, light, the barely perceptible shift of a neighbour’s fin — and they move as one. Hot pink, electric orange, acid yellow-green against a deep cobalt dark that has no floor and no ceiling. Each one glowing. Each one anonymous. The whole thing more alive than the sum of its parts.

This umbrella is a photograph of exactly that moment — shot through aquarium glass, the fish suspended in mid-turn, the water luminous around them. Carry it and you carry the whole school above your head.

Every one of them still moving. None of them asking why.

Nobody leads. Everyone arrives.
